Famous English poet John Keats stayed in this Rome house during 1820 and many years later, in 1906, the house was purchased by an English-American association. The Keats-Shelley Museum is located in central Rome and celebrates the life and works of John Keats and many other English poets, including Shelley and Byron.

Rome's popular Keats-Shelley Museum has become home to an important foundation, dedicated to many of the most famous English Romantic poets. The Keats-Shelley Museum contains portraits, relics and many other interesting objects.
